Both were dropped in previous model years, so your only option now is an uninspiring (but efficient) 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. Prior to the Equinox's mid-cycle refresh, it offered an odd diesel engine option and even had a 2.0-liter turbo option that made it one of the most powerful vehicles in the segment. Most of its key elements like passenger space, fuel economy, power and more are merely average at best, and there is very little that truly sets it apart from the rest. It's a bland vehicle with little to excite or offend from the curb. It also has standard navigation.There's no shortage of choices in the compact SUV space, and the 2022 Chevrolet Equinox quite frankly gets lost in the scrum. The Premier adds the available features of the LT along with a leather steering wheel and leather upholstery. Satellite radio is added to the LT as well, and you can accessorize your trim with heated front seats, remote engine start, and a power rear liftgate. Navigation is available on this trim and standard on the top Premier trim level. The LT trim gets an upgraded driver's information system with a color display screen. It also has some new exterior color choices and new interior color schemes. The LS gets a power-adjustable seat for the driver. The L and the LS, which are second in line, can be ordered with a 4G WiFi hot spot. The L has comfortable cloth seating and gets two USB ports in front and two more in back. The first trim, the L, keeps an eight-inch infotainment system to start, but you'll now have the convenience of wireless connectivity. The 2022 Chevrolet Equinox is made in the same four trim levels as 2021, although you'll find updates on all levels. Several trim-specific styling updates are also on the list of updates for 2022.

With the Equinox now comes standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Some new interior trim color choices are also offered on the mid-level trims. An expanded palette of paint color options gives you many ways to update your Chevy's look this year. The front grille and fascias also get a more contemporary look. Changes start on the front end with upgraded LED headlights and daytime running lights. Aesthetic updates take the stage for the Equinox in the 2022 model year. The 2022 Chevy Equinox primarily changes from its predecessor in the area of style and design.
